It aids in boosting erythropoietin production and its elimination via urine in patients experiencing anemias due to bone marrow insufficiency, often promoting erythropoiesis in cases of deficient red blood cell generation.
Oxymetholone is recommended for treating anemias linked to inadequate red blood cell production, including acquired aplastic anemia, congenital aplastic anemia, myelofibrosis, and hypoplastic anemias caused by the use of myelotoxic medications. However, it’s crucial to note that Oxymetholone Tablets should not be a substitute for other supportive treatments like blood transfusions, correcting deficiencies in iron, folic acid, vitamin B12, or pyridoxine, antibacterial therapy, and the judicious use of corticosteroids.
